What's the diff between a 06 seat and a 11 that makes them not interchangeable?

alot, the frames are different, the tanks, fenders - all different. the 06 seat had a tab on the front that fits in a slot in the frame, the 09's and later are just the opposite.

I agree completely its a whole different machine . I have had both. If you want that seat ,buy the bike I did. lol

Exactally. Buy the Roadglide seat. Looks cooler and feel better. I've had both.

08' and later SG buy a 09' SERG seat... I have one on my 08 SG and like it. For the 07' and earlier, buy a 05' SEEG seat...my friend has a 06' SG and purchased a 05' SEEG seat...his claim is the same as mine...a much better seat both rider and passenger,,,,passenger pillion is wider although not gaudy looking.
