LRS Ultra Flat Top
I just recieved my LRS Ultra Flat Top yesterday. I tried to install it and I had the same problem. Either the center hole is manufactured wrong or the outside ones are.
I emailed LRS last night with some pictures, we will see what happens.

I had a LRS Ultra Flat Top in my "cart" on their website last night. Was ready to push the enter key to buy but became spooked by doing a search on this Forum on LRS customer service. Also un-nerved by "my Ultra Flat Top doesn't fit"! Really??!! It's the same 3-hole configuration they've always used. Somebody's asleep at the molding machine! Me thinks I might wait a while until LRS cust serv catches up...

holey crap
was going to buy LRS shield. I hear about their great customer service, but I can't afford the holes not to line up, then retun the product and wait for a new piece. I agree, how hard can it be to get consistant hole placement when they are basically a Harley only dealer

I recieved my new LRS 10" Ultra Top Shield and I'm sorry to report that I'm not one bit happy. It simply will not fit. It's hard for me to even understand how you could make a shield with (3) mounting holes and they will NOT line up. I had 3/8" of the shield sticking out past the edge of the fairing on one side. I refuse to modify it to make it fit. I guess I will have to see if they will let me return it for a refund or for one that fits right out of the box.
In our testing we found out that we had some material that wasn't stretching the way we had planned.
I want you guys to know that if you are having a fitment issue with the flat top please let me know so that I can replace your shield.
There was some shrinking issues with some of the material that I believe we didnt account for in the new design.
Please contact me at 775-331-3789 so that we can fix it for you.
We cant allways be perfect but we can make it right.
for now we are going to un-list this product from our website until it is fixed properly. I would appreciate for those of you who would like to be testers for the new flat top and hole fix to call us and we can give you the chance to test the shield without risk.
as is also the case for any one who has all-ready purchased a shield, please let us know so that we can send you a new one with the fixed hole, or send you an ultra shield or simply give you a refund. The hole fix should be ready this afternoon.
We know that you guys here on the forum have been our best source for testing and product improvement and I always appreciate your honesty with stuff like this. Feel free to call us for whatever reason.
