Thanks so much. Just ordered it!!!! Just what I have been looking for and hoped to build one but most of my time is spent away from home on the job.

I also got the yellow jack from Harbor Freight, about six months ago. Now it seems there is always a reason to use it and it has become an irreplaceable tool in my garage. Makes installing items that need to be level on both sides of the bike so much easier. I would spend the little extra money and go with the lift versus the stand, you will definitely appreciate the value of it.

Sometimes Sears has good stuff. I bought my car floor jack in 1989 and it is still going strong. No leaks. My bro in law on the other hand keeps replacing his newer Sears jacks about every 5-7 years.

Maybe mine was made in the US?

Glad you found what you were looking for. That one for 50 bucks looks nice. My wood one has lasted for about 6 years now but it is all beat up looking. I took a carpeted door matt and contact cemented it around mine to protect the paint. Looks like you could just use a piece of pipe insulation on that one if you are concerned about it. That one you got says the handle comes out which is nice. I have to unscrew mine to move it out of the way. Enjoy your new lift.

Going on 9 years with my Larin jack (Sam's purchase for $70 IIRC). Use this for those jobs requiring the wheels to be off the ground. Like an earlier poster said, for fluid changes being on the ground works best for me and for getting a drain pan positioned. Now for everything else it's up on the table lift (Harbor Freight heavy duty). That's the one that really saves my back.

Harbor Freight jacks worry me. I've never had much luck with the automotive ones or their bottle jacks. One 80 ton bottle jack failed on me lifting the corner of a house while I was replacing a rotted rim joist, and there was maybe 5 tons on it.
I don't have large expensive motorcycles like a lot of you guys, but if I did you can bet I wouldn't trust a $.05 seal in a $75 Chinese with a 90 day warranty jack to lift my $25,000.00 Ultra Limited because I was too cheap to buy a good jack.
NOTHING H.F. sells is of decent quality. Even something as simple as a combination wrench is made of such cheap steel that it rounds off the heads of bolts. I only buy something from there any more if I only plan on using it once. JUNK. BEWARE- you get what you paid for.

X2 on the yellow sears jack, makes cleaning rims a breeze.

I use a Handy lift table for most maintenance but when the front or both wheels have to come off the ground, I use the Sears yellow jack. I have no complaints about it.

I've used a yellow HF jack since '07 with no problems. Jack doesn't leak & the bike is very stable when it's on the lift. Got it on sale for $70. Don't know what would be better.
