Two things I picked up from the forum (other than the camchain tensioner issue) was punching holes in oil filter to drain before removal, and Red Line Shockproof transmission lube. Noticed big difference right away, however has continued to improve smoothness as time goes on.
I use Redline in the crankcase, primary and tranny. I also add a bottle of their fuel cleaner to a full tank of gas when I change the fluids. Redline is good stuff, I have tried just about all their competition. I prefer it over Amsoil.

This is something I have been meaning to ask about. How many run what type of fuel cleaner in their bikes. I guess I mean to say fuel system cleaner. I like to use Lucas in my vehicles but been wondering what to use in my bike. Guess if I don't get answers on this I will start a new thread. Sorry OP, did not mean to hijack your thread...
