Hi folks. I am planning for a NC to AZ run in August and it's my first solo long trip. I am going to use a GPS (also AD2P for MP-3), so have been looking at all the info on Bluetooth, all pretty much intercoms that talk to cells and now with AD2P MP3 as well. I first thought - awesome, until I got into it. From what I read they all pretty much stink for one reason or the other.
I want to use it for listening, and have no interest in a big mic sticking out from my helmet. In fact, NOT receiving cell calls is one reason for the trip! <ha>
At this point I started looking at Bluetooth stereo ear buds and Sony has one that also does AD2P.
Looking for any help IDing a Bluetooth motorcycle intercom that works and where I can remove the microphone all together, or if that fails, thoughts on using ear buds.
As always, thanks much!
(when you know nothing the learning curve is steep!)
If you get ear buds...I recommend getting the foam things for the ear insert part if you can. When I travelled all the time for work I got ibeats with the foam ear inserts. It was like having sound cancelling and the music was great as a result. So I'd say the foam was worth it. Also stuck in the ears good too. Not sure about on a bike though.
