Default fuel mileage changes

Was getting ~42mgp....then did PCIII and dyno tune. HP/TQ MUCH improved and AFR is now ~13 straight across the range. Expected the mpg to drop some and is now ~36-37. I know that falls into the broad 35-45 in the tagged thread, but was wondering if it matches up with anyone elses similar build or is about what I should expect based on other's experience. I'm about 300lbs and ride mostly solo on 60/40 mix of hiway/burbs.

Default RE: fuel mileage changes

There are many, many factors that affect the final mpg one gets. For example; my '05 RKClassic usually gets from 39 to 45 around town given my riding style i.e. 'fast'. Today, I did a 331 mile loop thru So. Nevada, into California near Death Valley and back home. The first leg was due North against a 36 to 40 mph head wind. The bike got 28.8 mpg while running 65 to 75 mph mostly up hill. Then the second leg was more or less with a tail wind, downhill and slower at 60 to 65. On that leg the bike got 60.6 mpg. The last leg was mostly at 70 mph with the wind at about 90 degrees, a climb from 3500 ft. to 5600 ft. and back down to 1800 ft. elevation. That leg was the usual 41.1 mpg. My RKClassic has fuel injection, mapIII, Rinehart TDs, SE A/C and dyno tuned. I weigh 230 to 240 in riding gear and it is pushing the usual windshield. .................... BC

I was in the high 40's before the PCIII and after the install was ranging low 30's. Figure it was due to me riding like a bat out of _ _ _ _. It has slowly came up to 37 the last fill up. Hopefully on the highway it will be more than that.

My experiance with my build depends directly on how I ride that day pretty much 39mpg if I ride hard and as good as 45mpg @ 50 to 60mph and crusing but im in Fl. pretty flat here.

With PCIII and Rineharts and Big Sucker Air I am getting average of around 37mpg highway/street. Went on a PA trip recently and crusing at 70mph I did 46mpg.
