I got a console cover from some guy on e-bay a while back that covers this area. Just for you guys I took some pics of mine with the seat on and off so you can see it better. This is on my '05 RK with the sundowner seat also. Once it's on you never pay it any never mind again, only if you see one that doesn't have it covered. If any wants I can check and see if I still have the receipt and his name.
I have a brand new in the package Drag Specialties filler like the one in the link posted in this thread that I'll never use. I'd be willing to sell it if anyone wants it. PM me your email addy if you want pics or you're interested.
Tank consoles on ElectraGlides are shorter than the Road Kings. Need a filler piece to use the Sundowner on the E-Glides. HD makes a leather unit, which I first used, and looks like... well not as good as in the P&A book. I use the chrome unit from Drag Specialties. I think I tossed the HD unit in the dumpster. Trying to keep clutter in the garage to a minimum. With the spacer, you can run a Road King saddle on your E-Glide.

Yeap, you need the correct seat. One for an electraglide or roadglide. Can't use the seat from the Roadkings or Streetglides as they have a longer counsel and a shorter nose ont he front of the seat. I got a sundowner that a guy ordered for his Eglide. His wife did not like it so he brought it back to were he got it. I got mine for 50 dollars under cost and it was only sat on once. It fits like a glove with no gaps etc.
Don't skip in getting a sundowner because of possible gaps, just get the correct one and you will be fine. Just remeber that the roadglides and electraglides use the same seat part numbers. Were the roadkings and streetglides use different part numbers due to the nose length.
Anyone have the name or the part number of the drag specialities seat gap filler that some of you were talking about - having trouble finding it on the net?
