I hope it is as comfy as every one says it is. I should have it in a few days.

I had a Mustang on my previous bike and it was a good seat, but they do tend to push you forward a bit, that's why I am trying to stay away from them this time around.

BTW, I am 6' 240, with next to no natural padding, flat a*s syndrome LOL. Maybe that's why the corbin did not work well for me.
I experienced the same thing, move forward, with the Mustang two-up. But the Mustang solo w/ pillion doesn't seem to move you forward. I just bought one with the backrest. Rode 250 miles in one day and felt great.

I love my sundowner from harley. 500+ miles a day with no butt burn or tailbone pain last trip. I have a bad back with hardware too so I run the adjustable backrest.

That's good advice. Another thing is getting the riding position just right. I couldn't get comfortable on my old Glide (had it from new) and fiddled about with small adjustments of the bars. Then one day we clicked together and get on fine! I have an older Corbin and like that as well!

However comfort on a bike starts at the road, not the seat. I use Avon tyres, because amongst other things they give a smoother and more comfortable ride. I also now have custom-built Ohlins shocks and they are just amazing. Between them they make a firm seat very comfortable indeed!

Spreading your butt's width over a wider surface may help. A lot of people don't like the looks of the Air Zeppelin because of it's width, but that's part of the reason why it's so comfortable. With an arthritic hip, I love mine.

A gel pad will help a lot on long rides, as well.

I once bought the street glide's stock seat for my 2009 RG more then a year ago and last year I started out on a trip from RI to Florida. During that trip I was hurting all the way down as far as Miami, Florida. So, I ended up selling both the RG and SG stock seat on Ebay in order to buy a Mustang solo seat. A couple months later, I made it out to Sturgis and road almost 2,000 miles on the new seat and I am very please with the Mustang seat not once was I hurting. The seat does not change on long rides. That was my biggest problem with the stock seat that it would quickly bottom out. You would think that HD could do better on their stock seats. I know I know.... They want us to spend more money replacing them with their other ones. But, why would I? I made up my mind to bye the Mustang seat, because if I can not trust HD with the stock seat why would I buy any of the other ones.

Lots of great advice and I know how you fill. I was good for about 40 miles and after that I was looking for a place to pull over. Gave Mean City Cycle a try and it was the best money spent today.
My son and I went out on a 5 hr ride. I was tired, but it was not because of my rear.
I to bought another seat, guess what it's at mean city as we speak. Maybe I'll put it in the living room to watch tv and make motor noises to annoy the kids. LOL

BL, finding the right seat can be a challenge for everyone…
I have just installed the Low Down Mustang seat with Driver Backrest. Perfect fit for me (5'5" tall, 28" Inseam).

I had a Mustang seat on my Heritage and I did love it on long rides.

I have been on this forum now for a few years. It never ceases to amaze me how many times I see a somewhat new person on here and ask the "Seat" question - and almost every time the answers are always the same - We ALL have our likes and dislikes. Mustang, Corbin C/C, Couch, touring, solo, and so on and so on.

Try the search button and you will need a day to read all the posts -

One thing that is often NOT mentioned - to get a bike to fit you - Both the seat and bars have to fit YOU. If one is off - you will hurt - either in the butt, back, shoulders or legs. and like posted here - it can be very expensive.

I am a Corbin guy - on my third HD and this bike just turned 60K and next week I am doing my third Coast to Coast - all on a Corbin - thats me, the next post may HATE the Corbin - it is what makes the world go around.

What ever seat you choose, find a maker that will work with you to make it fit YOU>... thats the trick
