I have ridden a Fat Boy for the last few years. My buddy kept tellimg me how much fun his Ultra was and I kept hearing these stories about these great long rides...having tunes and not getting beat to death by the wind all the time (still got the Fat Boy so Im luckily I can still get bugs in my teeth when I get that feeling). I looked at the Rootbeer brown Limited and fell in love. After riding it for about 5 weeks I know I made the right choice. I even convinced my brother in law (who has been riding a tricked out rigid Ironhorse for a few years) to get a new one.....he has no regrets. After the first long ride he looked like a kid who stole something and was getting away with it. Limited...ABS, 103 motor, heated grips, storage galore, security..and a bunch more.....you wont regret a thing.
Mines 10 months old and only 8k miles. Went to get a dyno this past winter and the specials allowed me to get the TW-555 cams with adjustable pushrods for just a litlle more than the dyno alone. I loved the bike before but man those cams woke that 103 right up! It is a blast to ride.
I just bought mine this past November so I didn't get to ride it much before the snows arrived.
I have about 2500 miles on it and man do I love it.
I had a 2009 Road King that I absolutely loved but the wife convinced me to trade up for the additional comfort for her since we ride a lot. I had mixed feelings about getting rid of the King but it turned out to be a great choice.
The Limited is so comfortable you can ride all day with no problem..... great seat, great bars, great fairing, and boy is having tunes nice.
I just traded for a 2011 limited in root beer color and so far I really like it, handles good, responsive, and is a eye catcher. I think I really will like those heated grips in the fall.
