Use it in my '77 Goldwing to keep the carbs from gumming up. These carbs are a pain to keep clean if the bike sits too long and a real chore to rebuild. Run some through a few tanks and it'll help keep them clean. Not magic, but it helps.

Try the B-12 ChemTool also. A lot cheaper than seafoam. Pretty much the same stuff.

Draw it through a vacuum hose to clean out my intake manifold on my truck. The truck blows white smoke for a few minutes until it has burned off, I look like a back woods bug spraying truck for a while. It works well on the fuel system and cleans out the carbon deposits.

I use seafoam in carbureted models and as a oil sludge remover in automotive but prefer Chevron Techron injector cleaner for fuel additive. Over the past 15yrs (or whenever it came out) It's the fastest/best working chemical I've used on customer cars.

This is no scientific test here but to me (after teardown of affected parts) the seafoam is a slower acting cleaner that works best while sitting in the carburetor. The Techron is a fast acting cleaner that works best for stripping carbon buildup and varnish from injectors/valves (since there is no soak time while engine is running).

Also use StaBil on a full tank of gas for winter storage.

On a side note;
seafoam in the intake of a running engine works but is an expensive way to clean deposits. Try this little trick and save some $$$
Take a half quart of transmission fluid, fill the rest with water. Bring the engine to operating tempurature and slowly inject (through vacuum hose) the 50/50 mix into the engine. Allow just enough to flow into the engine to keep it running and NOT hydrolock while the RPM's are around 2000-2500. The Transmision fluid will clean deposits while the water/vapor will steam clean the valves and combustion chamber. I've used this trick for the last 25yrs or so on customer vehicles. * DO NOT inject too much at one time or you can cause engine damage*

I hear good things about it for cars and I've been considering using it.....but how much would you add to a 6 gallons motorcycle tank? I also hear during the clean out process you will see some black smoke.

Coach I would ad 1/4 can or maybe even a touch more to a full tank. You might notice some slight drivability issues or flucuations in idle speed during that tank as well.

I use Sea foam on my 09 Ultra Classic with 32,000 miles. Six onces for six gallons of gas per instructions (full tank). It has kept my injectors clean and my bike starts much easier now than before. I ran two applications ( two tank fills) and the bike runs much better. I am a believer!!
