The denim paint is supposed to be rough. It is meant to age and get a patina as you ride. I like the look of the white denim, but I have only seen it in the as new condition. It will be interesting to see how that color ages. Post a picture of your bike and the problem areas that you see.
Where's the pics man??? I got to look at a denim white SG at the local dealer a while back and I really liked it a lot! When I went back with my wife to show it to her they had sold it and they never got another one in, and I have yet to see one in the wild. Enjoy your new ride.
