I always ride with someone who rides a metric, Find some reason to get behind him in line every time we fill up, that way I get ALL high octane. My personal stress is...when I fill my tank, there always seem to be air bubbles if I pull the nozzle out a bit to completely top off, no matter how slow I try to pump it in....I have a 6 gallon tank, but it wont hold more than 4 and 1/2 gallons..............
OK, lets all chip in and buy Chuckie a keg of his choice beer. That's exactly what happens when I pull Chevron product from a delivery hose to my truck. The lower octane product stops 20 gallons short of the amount selected to load and switchs to premium for the last 20.This is called the flush. Then if the next compartment on my truck is premium, it gets the full premium load instead of 20 gallons of whatever the last product loaded was. Last comment. No diesel fuel ever flows through a gasoline delivery hose. Chevron (others as well) take care of their dealers. The dealers may never see you again so they don't take care of you the same way.

Interesting. I've always dropped diesel in a regular product hose. Usually if I have gas on also, just drop the diesel compartment first then flush it when switching to the next gas compartment. the amount of diesel left in the hose is really just residue, nothing more.
Anyway, your not paying for the gas left in the hose. The guy before you did. You're paying for the guy behind you.
Thats why when I'm almost full of gas. I shut off the pump then drain the hose in the tank. So I get an extra 1 1/2 pints of fuel!! FREE LOL Only kidding.
