I tried it once and decided never again. It left a film that was hard to remove. I don't have time to rinse 20 times. HD bike wash works fine.

The S100 engine brightener works well.

I use it every time. Usually wash the bike at a spray wash (only using low-pressure setting) with S100 foam, which works better IMO. Easy and effective for a quick wash.

After the third muffler end cap was replaced under warranty for chrome pealing the head wrench asked me if I used S 100. I did and don't anymore. It was the low side end cap that would collect water with the S 100 residue in it. No way to say for sure, though.

There is nothing better for washing the bike than good old fashion car wash soap that you can buy by the gallon at Sam's that contains a mild soap and a water softener. Periodically I will use Simple Green to degrease but I am careful to rinse it well. The military band it's use on aircraft after it was tied to embrittlement of aluminum. Simple Green developed an aluminum safe version but I have not used it yet.

S 100 makes some very good products but the wash is not one of them IMHO.

Yes. Spray it on and hose it off. But, then again I don't hand wash, dry, or wax my bike.

Wow, the variance of opinions. I have been through quite a few jugs of the stuff and never had a problem. To boot, most of my washes have been done in the sun. I never had any streaking problems but I have enough sense to rinse the bike very well. I am glad I read this though as never thought of diluting it with water and at 40 bucks a jug... Been meaning to try Simple Green and as I am currently out of S100 I may give it a try.

Won't use it or bike brite. Nothing like soap and water and a rag to clean. Clean my jugs with a detail brush along with the wheels.
