I know I won't be selling mine for a long time to come, Way too sweet of a machine to part with. May just get the ol to use it as my tombstone, I like it that much.
Life is way to short..... Pull the trigger on the RGU. I moved up from a 07 FLHT (which I loved) and have zero regrets The RGU could possibly be the best bike I have ever owned!
I'll say this, I never had a problem passing semi's or getting moved around by wind or performing slow speed maneuvers on my 09 FLHX. Never.
HOWEVER - this RGU is better in all those categories!
Slow speed maneuvering is the most improved. Turning a sharp 90 degrees into my neighborhood from the 55mph 2 lane road used to make me cringe on the FLHX. I hate the feeling of people tailgating me because I'm slowing down to turn. There's a curb in the way that makes tolerances tighter as well. With the RGU, I just push on the bar and she dips down and swings around the corner.
So correct me if i'm wrong, if you take the fairing on both of these the Ultra and the Roadglide off are'nt they the same bikes basically??
Not basically, they are the same bike. One has the fairing mounted to the forks and the other has the fairing mounted to the frame. RG owners claim the frame mounted fairing is better, I couldn't tell you if that is true or not. You would have to ride both the same day in the same conditions to see if one handled better than the other. Everyone is going to tell you their bike is the best handling bike Harley makes, that's just our nature.
