he'd be lucky if he gets 11k. I've been lurking for prices and have found many around 9k and some of those had more upgrades

I too would be very reluctant to buy a bike that old with that few miles on it. It's been sitting too long, at even $4K off of the asking price. The age isn't the issue. Miles that low will be.

I agree, I bought a bike once that was 10 years old and had almost no miles on it, it was a headache, just about all the gaskets dried up including base gaskets. I would rather buy a bike from someone that puts at least 5k on it a season.

No doubt. 700 + miles on a 2005 bike is GROSS neglect, even if it's been garaged and covered for 6 years. It's a headache waiting for someone to "discover" it.
