Started my +2 Sweepers install on the ultra last night. Taking my time since the GF is out of town and I need something to keep my hands busy.
Everything seems to be going well. I went ahead and sprung for the namz TBW extension and it pulled through fairly easily. Only major part left is the clutch cable swap.
I tell you what though, the one thing that at first blush looks like it's gonna be the trickiest is something I've never seen anyone mention...putting that damn radio back in. That sucker is a tight fit and getting to the 4 mounting screws is a pita. Guess I'll find out this evening or tomorrow when I get ready to put it all back together.
I guess it is actually a socket head cap screw, but yes they are a pain in the ***. If you have a long pair of needle nose pliers to hold them with in the start of the hole and then push it in and start turning with the allen wrench, that's as good of recomendation as I can give you on that part. Also is helpful if you can or have someone else move the radio up and down a little bit to get them started straight also helps. That rubber gasket that surrounds the radio slides in a little easier if ya put something on it to make it slippery. I used some window cleaner with hopes that it would evaporate and not have any ill effects on the rubber. Good luck and most of all, enjoy doing it yourself.
