I'll depart from many and put a vote in for the RK standard. To me it is more "classic" than the others. The hard bags can't be beat. I didn't want the tubed tires and did not want those wide white walls. Just me. I think the standard RK is the best FLH Harley for the dollar. My ten minute rides to work are way better than most things. I've had several positive comments on my (09) stock rims and have no interest in spoke rims. As I looked at it over time I saw it as the one. 3 years later I'm way more than happy. Unless I wanted a batwing and tunes the RK standard is it, for me. Good luck.
I liked the road king standard since it was a little cheaper and I didn't think I would need the cruise control. I've added ennough now that it is my own. I think you would like any of them. They are all great motorcycles.

Agree 100% except I like the nostalgic look of the spoked rims. You can do just about anything you want with the most versatile bike in the HD line. Personally I am glad I ended up with a standard because of the hard bags but would love cruise control. Other than that I couldn't be happier with my 01 FLHR....
If I can ever afford another bike my Road King is going nowhere!!!!!
My vote is for the RKC. I owned 2 other RK standards and like the Classic for the spoke wheels and leather bags, my wife actually wanted me to have this one.
