Well I finally drank the poison punch and pulled the trigger on a Progressive Touring Stabilizer Link. It would of been a 30 minute job other than I had to loosen and drop my right side exhaust (good experience since I'm not a crack mechanic).
I followed all instructions including washer positions and torque specs. Took it for a quick run up the road and yes it felt tighter in the rear end. Also it seemed to me it was tracking straighter. Now all I need is some twisties and a little more riding time for a fair assessment. I did not notice extra vibrations once installed.
I only experienced the famous "wobble" once and that was a few years ago on a 4 lane highway going 70mph in a very negotiable turn. Go figure.
