Do you have to go from 8.19 to 8.22 and then to 8.25 or can you go directly from 8.19 to 8.25 ???
Second question, I downloaded 8.25 to a -CD, I am getting an error message while "updating" the radio, wrong CD, update cancelled. Do I have to use a + CD ????
Those who had no problems with this update, please tell me the brand of CD you used and if it was + or -
I am not sure about the upgrade sequence but I would guess that going to 8.25 would include all previous upgrades. Perhaps someone else could comment.
In regards to the error message, did you use Windows to write the files to the CD? I tried that this morning and it would not update the radio. I tried a different software and it worked. See the other thread on this subject for details.
You might want to try using a different software to write the files to the CD. The CD I used was a standard CD/RW one that was previously used but I erased all the files prior to putting the two for the radio on it.
I went from 8.19 to 8.25 without a problem.
I used CDBurnerXP, with a CD/R. I burned at 20x because CDBurnerXP didn't allow me to burn slower. The upgrade went smoothly and took 5mn. My radio rebooted only once, contrary to what the instructions say, and I checked the version after the upgrade completed (5mn on my bike) and everything's fine.
As for the benefit of upgrading, I didn't see any difference over the previous version.

Not trying to highjack the thread but I've never heard of radio upgrades. Can you guys enlighten me a bit?
I'm new to this too but my understanding is that they are updates to the operating systems of the radio to improve performance or fix an issue within the radio.
I've updated the firmware for my GPS a few times as well as the operating system to my iPhone, but this was the first time I did this to the radio on my bike.
I have not seen any type of list as to what changes were made with this latest update but there was some discussion as to changes in the voice activation (VOX) system of the radio. I don't know if that was part of this update or part of another.

I got the same error message. Screw it, I just listen to my CD anyway.
