mine broke at around 50k, my friend broke two, he just bolted a piece of bent metal to both sides and its been holding like a champ for a bunch of miles now
Just replaced my '03 Road King Classic left one as well.....
Just read in an earlier thread that the rubber bumbers under the bags getting dry. Solution: Lube the bumbers and the muffler bracket with electric grease so they can move and the little $75 sucker can't get "stressed-broke" again. I'll try it.
Just broke left one on my 06 RK Custom. Bought the Drag Specialties one. Anyone got any instructions on what I need to do to replace it? Do I need to remove the rear fender 1st? Any help / advice would probably save me some time!
Hello, I'm having the same problem, left saddlebag support kit broken in my 2003 FLHR. For those of you who bought the Drag Specialties part, is it better than the stock one? does it fit a FLHR? I've seen that there is no ref. number for my ride... only for FLT and FLHT.
Thanks
