I installed the split vision mirrors on my 2010 FLHTK and was really disappointed. I was hoping the small portion of the mirror was convex and would help eliminate the blind spots. I was wrong. Both portions are flat glass. I think I am going to put the stock mirrors back on and try one of the aftermarket stick-on convex mirrors.

Yup, I had been considering getting a set of the split mirrors but hadn't put up the money yet. Then I discovered one of the guys at work had a set on his Harley and he was kind enought to let me try them. Like you, I was very disappointed. It's not that both parts of the mirror are flat, it's that the convex section is "very poorly" aimed. If they'd angled it out a little more, it would have worked as we both expected it to. As it is, it didn't improve the rearward view at all. If anything, it was a little worse because the main section is smaller. Either way, I'm really glad I found out about that "before" I forked over the money!

Good luck & Ride Safe,
Steve R.

Keeping tabs on the traffic with the regular mirrors works fine, but I will always turn my head for the real picture. I even turn my head when changing sides in my own lane. I've had other bikers come zooming up along side of me unexpectedly. That habit has also saved me driv'in my cage because of the wider window and center supports they are putting in cars nowadays.

Yep, exactly. Unfortunately I bought mine mail order and had given away my take-offs to a bud so I live with them.

I put my stock mirrors back on also. The small convex portion just took up too much real estate on the usable portion of my mirrors. I never could get used to them and at night the headlights behind you are multiplied into one giant confusion.

I have them and I like them, they are really big and somewhat ugly but its function over form for me. I can actually see behind the bike now..............

I have them and have mixed feelings for the same reasons everybody already mentioned...at first I didn't like them at all. After a few adjustments I'd say they're a 'slight' improvement over factory
