I am in the process of buying a tire machine and I have several people wanting me to install new tires for them. I have been checking on dyna beads and found the price will be around $20 per set (about 4oz worth) of tires on eBay but I'd rather buy a bulk amount instead of the small packs. I found a different brand name and they are like $50 for 48oz but in the description they say they are for mud tires on trucks. What's the difference whether for a truck or motorcycle? Anyone tried any off brand? One person I talked to even came up with the idea of trying waterfowl steel shot out of a shotgun shell. Not sure I'd want to do that but I guess theoretically it would work. What's the best way to go about buying dyna beads or other brand?
go to a tire store and ask em to order for you. i use auto/truck beads 4 to 7 bucks and a small mail scale to drop the amt to the 2 or 3 ozs it takes. love em
Two weeks ago I ordered a new American Elite tire and 2 OZ of Dynabeads from Jake Wilson. The 2OZ of Dynabeads was 7.99 and shipping was free because my order was over 99.00 dollars.
Can't elaborate on the other brand's
I put a filter on my small air compressor to prevent moisture.
What about these "filtered valve cores"? Are they the same as any valve core? Do you run those with your dyna beads?
i bought them when i ordered mine this time around, figured id have em to have em. i dont think they are needed, i used stock stems for 2 tire changes on my roadstar /w dyna beads and no issues with beads getting stuck in the valve.
