I have removed the antenna from my 2010 SG because I hardly ever use my radio. I would however, like to use my ipod. I am connecting directly from my ipod shuffle to the aux port on the radio. With the bike radio and the ipod turned on I get static only. Is there a preset on the radio tuner that allows the ipod to play??

 

Do you have a thumb control (right side) to change radio stations? Put it on AUX. That's where my Ipod plays.

 

Your radio, if it is like the Ultra's, has AM/FM/CD/CB/and if you keep scrolling, has an aux mode. The Ipod, when fed into the aux jack, won't be heard until you put the radio into Aux mode, then turn up the volume of the IPod about 1/2 way, and then adjust the volume of the radio to about 1/2 . This should work.
