Not starting a debate here, just my humble opinion. The 21 handles just fine but it is different especially at slow speed, it also rides a bit rougher due to the low profile sidewall. Mine is a 120 on a 3.5" rim, my front also is lowered just about 3/4". I have a street glide and its also lowered in the rear by about an inch from the factory. I think most of it is a mental thing due to ya don't have that fatty under you up front. Fact of the matter is the contact patch is not that much different from the fatty to the 21 about 10mm width overall equates to just over 3/8". Keep in mind that is the difference between a 120 and 130 tire overall width. Now the main difference is load capacity. The stock fatty is rated much higher than the 120 21 tire. Most fat rears are rated lower as well but there are plenty 21/17 or 21/18 or 21/16 combos out there. Keep your tires inflated properly and if you dont seriously overload your scoot, all should be fine.

I have a 23 on the front of mine and think its the same as a stock wheel at any speed might feel bumps a little more but it rides as straight and turns just as good. I had a 21 before my 23 and thought it was also the same. to me as long as they are done right there fine. There are people with 26's and say they ride as good as a 21. It all depends what you want and what look you like.

I want to be able to corner as well as I do now, and track on the highway like I do now.

As far as weight...99% solo, but bags are 80% full most times.

Thanks for taking the time to reply....anyone else? (PLEASE)

Changed my mind....gonna stay with a 18". Bike handles too darn good as is. More than likely just change the front rim, leave the rear stock.
