Zanotti Discount

A 624
B 140.40
C 154.80
D 148.16
E 38.94

Total Cost 1106.30 A savings of 253.95 bucks, a little over 18 percent. I did not see a free shipping option with them.
You will also need a a keyed lock that is not added in at approx 19.99 as well as the 4 pnt docking hardware you will need for a passenger back rest any way

I got a King tour pack for my 08. A friend of mine gave it to me actually. He had put his Ultra down and insurance bought a new one for him. Anyway its one the best things I have put on my bike, my wife is much more comfortable which makes me more comfortable. It didn't have speaker pods and I haven't got any yet. The lights are easy to wire in. I put a hiding antenna in my fairing with a splitter. When the tour pack in on i attach the antennas on it, when not I use the hidden one. After paint, detachable hardware, back rest, and a $200.00 forced gift card for a steak house for my friend I have about $800 into it. Worth it to me.

Forgot the paint! I believe that's another 300-400 bucks from the factory.

Jeff, What is that picture of... a tunnel into a mountain just big enough for bikes? It looks cool and I had to ask...

Last spring, I bought my vivid black painted HD chopped tour-pak, the detachable mount kit, the lock (w/2 keys), fro mChicago HD for about $780. I can't find the receipt right now. I live close by, so I didn't have to pay shipping, but the high Illinois sales tax would be about the same as shipping just about anywhere in the cont US. I haven't yet bought a backrest pad for it, mainly because I never have passengers, but also because I can't find one that I like. But figure in another $125-$175.

I've also got a passengers backrest and pad. Bought it used, from a memeber here and had to buy the disconnect kit from the dealer. I've got about $200 in that setup, but the tourpak is a much more functional mod.

I've also seen several complete tour-paks on here in the classifieds for around $700, complete.

Here's a pic of the chopped tour-pak mounted on my '08 FLHX:

No. That price is for a solid color vivid black. Some of the other less common colors cost a lil bit more. And I think one or two colors cost 200 more. But they are factory painted.

This is a 'For What it's Worth' reply....from someone that's been there, done that with the adding a tour pak.

IMHO....it was worth EVERY PENNY's cost adding the tour pak. I had the passenger's backrest/luggage rack put on my FLHT when I bought it. It was fine....served it's purpose. GF was ok with short rides, but did mention it was uncomfortable....nothing she couldnt deal with though. We stopped at a dealer one day, and she sat behind me on an Ultra. It took about 2 secs to decide that was what she wanted for comfort, and has several times mentioned how much more comfort it was now.

Long story short.....if you want your wife to ride with ya....and feel comfortable, then I say check with one of the online dealers (Zanotti HD, Chicago HD, or Lakeshore HD) since they're up to 20% cheaper, order what you need, and put it on. I put mine on as detachable, but the ONLY time it comes off is when I clean it. I've gotten used to it being on there...it's CONVENIENT!!!

Again....for what it's worth....

Jeff,
I'm in a somewhat similiar situation as you. I have '10 SG and a gal with the same issues. I had a quick detach backrest and rack, but she doesn't like that as much (she got spoiled with my dad's Ultra Classic and zepplin seat). I just ordered a quick detach mounting rack/bracket from Baddad (I just had a fat rear fender put on it so the HD ones don't work) and I was able to find some after market tour packs for hundreds less than Harley's tourpak (There is no speakers and lights included with it). I should have it in the mail tomorrow. I'll let you know how I like it...all the reviews I've read on it have been positive, but we'll see. So far this often has been a far less expensive option - $300 for the special luggage rack/bracket and only $200 for tour pack with wrap around backrest.

Gene, was the tourpak off eBay? I've seen that one, but never read a review of it. Let me know how you like the one you got please.
