There has been many posts on this. It seems the majority just damp wipe the dash down for fear of getting water in the gauges etc.. I personally use whatever I'm using to wash the rest of the bike depending on how dirty she is, from just S-100 alone to S-100 followed by some regular car wash soap and a micro fiber mit. I hose and blow dry the dash just like any other part of the bike. I just don't direct a forceful stream of water right at the gauges, stereo etc. Just a top down rinse. I've never had any issues.

Before mine was painted, I just washed it like the rest of the bike , and tried to keep water out of the radio, then dry it with a blower , and then give it a good coat of meguiars back to black, made it look good.
