Try contacting Rivco for any questions regarding fitment, but, from what I've seen about the mounting of RG lowers everything should work fine.
Yes if you have the glove box. It is really simple though. Pull the leather cover and loosen the ****. The only real variable is the design of the front cover of the lower. The newer ones have a cover that seems to snap on the topfront portion of the lower. The older ones like mine(02) have a cover that screws on. The kit provides small thumb screws to make removal real easy.
I won't tell anyone what to do with their money, but I just took one side off my bike a couple of weeks ago and it took me all of about 2 minutes, tops. Going back on was about 5.
Aside from the lower quick detach mount looking nicer than the stock strap, I'd just as soon keep the stock hardware so some scumbag isn't quite as inclined to use the quick-detach feature to help himself to what's mine.
