Just took my bike into the Indie yesterday, to have my 16" apes installed.....going with the HD Urethane bushings. There is alot more leverage on your bars when you get into the 14-16" apes and eventually the rubber bushings will start to allow the bars to get slop in them. One minor thing I was told is you "MAY" get some minor vibration at the grips,(depending on your type of grips) because you are taking out rubber and putting in "plastic".

I did not notice any increase in vibration. If it's there, it isn't very noticeable.

excellent advice; I had to pay twice cause the indy did not mention it -- changed the bars got the larger bushings all is well now.

Nope. Sorry I sure don't have it. I was just talking to one of the mechanics and he handed them to me and told me that I needed them. So I bought them!

I don't remember the torque spec, but I do remember the bars felt al little spongey at first, I re-tourqued the bushings several times with a few minutes break in beteween. This allowed the urethane to settle in and compress, finished product was nice and firm but still has a little cushion. Also the lower torque allowed the bars to vibrate more on my bike, results may vary.
