Default Another "Windsplitter" thread...

I've seen several positive AND negative posts about the HD Windsplitter windshield, which has been very confusing. I saw one in stock at a local dealer yesterday and decided to buy it and try it for myself.

I'll try not to drag this out, but I'll start out by saying I didn't really get "beat up" by the wind with the stock shield. I mean, I had some buffeting and stuff like that, but I could get used to it quickly and it wasn't bothering me too much.

But anyway, I rode for several hours last night at all speeds (up to around 85mph) on city roads, backroads, and interstates. I have to admit that I'm not real experienced with different windshields, but I'm super impressed with this windsplitter.

I now have almost no buffeting and can hear the radio better. I'm very, very, very happy with the swap and have no reasons to look at any other windshields! Seriously...

I'm 5' 9" and am using the stock 2011 Street Glide seat and a novelty helmet.

Oh yeah, you can easily have the two bag windshield pouch on with this windshield, despite some comments I've read on here. I also love the way the Windsplitter looks (see sig picture.)

Just wanted to pass that along!

i'm 5'8 with sg like the look and the head buffetting is fine it hits the top of my forehead. ive used it at temps 35-95 degrees.so if your taller go for a taller shield perhaps.

Last shield I will put on my Ultra, I am 6' and always where a full face helmet. Just went on a 1300 mile trip to Vegas and back and no complaints was 75 - 80 all the way.
Love this thing quiet and most wind is just over the top of the helmet.

Sorry. Posted this on Friday, then went out of town all weekend. Unfortunately, NOT ON THE BIKE! That sucks!

Anyway, glad to see others have had success with this windshield too!

I am 5' 10" and ride with a Corbin Hollywood Solo seat which about the same height as a stock seat. Any suggestions on the height of Windsplitter windshield I should buy?
