Went to the dealership to take a look at one. They sure have nice lines. My stock windshield is the perfect height for deflecting the wind, I just am not crazy about the height of it nor the clear colour. Not weighing out function vrs looks, trying to blend the two as much as possible. Windspliiter looks good, now trying to make sure it is some what functional.

Seems most of the people posting here that like the Windsplitter are 5'9" or so. It's 7" high. I'm 6'2" with most of that height above the waist (32" inseam). I'm thinking that might put my head directly into the air stream. Any taller guys used the Windsplitter?

I'm 5' 11" and the 8.5 KlockWerks is just a touch high for me. The HD wind splitter is a actually an inch lower and has less kick up then the 6.5 KlockWerks. I have tried all three and once I get a few more miles on the 6.5 KW I think that will be the winner for me. The HD wind splitter would actually cause a weird buffeting that sucks my sunglasses off my face going down the highway. Haven't had that with the KW yet

6'1 with 33" inseam. Brawler seat however drops be down and back a great deal compared to stock. 3-4" back 2" down I'd say.

I had the Harley Windsplitter on my bike and it worked great. It put a lot of wind at the top of my head but had some light buffeting with it. I also have the fairing mounted air deflectors and fork mounted deflector.

However, I did remove it (rather reluctantly) and have went to a Long Ride Shields dark smoked 8" Ultra flip up, which I like even better. I can still see over the top of the windshield, yet it covers more of my face so I have less area for junebugs or rocks to hit. I have even less wind on my head and virtually no buffeting. I feel more relaxed and comfortable behind the LRS taller windshield. It also, in my opinion, looks a bit better on my bike as I have the typical Electra Glide lights and front fender so the Windsplitter looks better on the Street Glide rather than the Electra Glide. I am 5'6" with a Sundowner seat.

Even though Harley lists the Windsplitter at 7", it leans back pretty good so it does not go anywhere near that height. I want to say it sticks up only about 5.5"

Very Happy to read the reviews on the WindSplitter. I have been looking at re-curved and the Klock Works shields. Today I went to the local dealer and asked to see one in person. I held it up to a Street Glide and really like the way it looks. It will replace the standard 7"

Immediately called one of the supporting vendors here on the site. MSRP was $159....came to $126 + $14 shipping. Can't even come close with the dealer who sold me the bike then sales tax on top of it.

If it works as well as ya'll say....maybe I will be able to hear my guardian bell. Happy Father's Day to Me.

If anyone is looking for a HD Wind Splitter (57614-10), I'm selling mine. The Wind Splitter was only on my 2011 Street Glide for about 40 miles or so and it's in great shape.

It's a great addition for a smaller rider (I'm 6'1") or a rider who doesn't mind the wind in his face.

You can buy a new Wind Splitter for $159.95 (plus tax or shipping) or you can buy mine for $100, shipped.
