If I recover from a bad health condition I am currently experiencing,
I would like to stay in Pigeon Forge TN for a week. I have two questions.
1- IS there HArley rentals in Pigeon forge or one has to go to Meriville?
2- What are good scenic route that you would recommend in the area?
Hope its not flesh eating insects! If you survive and get to Pigeon Forge you will find it quite nice. PF is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Go in any direction and you will find "scenic routes" galore. Head over to ride the Dragon if you dare. Jump on the Blue Ridge Parkway and head north or south. Depending when you go you may encounter much heat and humidity; scare-up thunderstorms; rain, etc so prepare for almost any inclimate weather. Lots of good riding in Tennessee.
Cant help you with the rentals question, sorry.
The H-D shop in Piegon Forge is owned by Smoky Mtn. H-D in Maryville...It's on the right after you first come into Piegon Forge....About 100 yards off the main drag...You should see the sign if you look hard enough...Sorry I can't remember the traffic light #
If they have one available , I would reserve one ASAP, because you never know.
I will be there on the 13-17th of June.
Don't do weekends on the Dragon if you can avoid it.
That is if you are coming from I-40....Go to Cherokee over in North Carolina....The Blue Ridge Pwk is just before you pull into Cherokee...That's great ride...go as far as you want to...Clingman's Dome near Newfound gap is great view too....Also Cades Cove is a nice loop to go over to....
