2011 Streetglide, 2 months old, I keep blowing my right rear taillight. The other night someone told me that it was out, when I looked at it, it wasn't. What is the story here... how it is not working again, the running light is on, but the turn light/brakelight functions dont work, the left works perfect!

There was an odd moment last night, I was turning onto my road last night and engaged the left turn signal and it was flashing real fast, i turned the corner it went off... then i turned it back on and it didnt flash fast.. this is weird and pissing me off. Any suggestions.

exactly.. Now my question is, is this DEALER going to try to say that it's a ECM issue and that my PCV is the culprit.

 

Do you have a Run/Stop/Turn module installed? Remove the module and see if your lights behave correctly. Is your bike lowered? Check the wires between your tire and your fender. Sometimes they get tire-rubbed and short out. Dielectric grease in the bulb sockets? Sometimes the sockets get crudded up with road grime/moisture and cause lighting issues.

 

no run/stop/turn module, not lowered, Im fat, but that shouldn't be an issue.. lol.. and yes there is grease in there.

 

from what I can gather from looking at it this morning, and the dealer looking at it. The socket in the right turnsignal light is loose, so the bulb doesnt sit properly... Interesting.

 

So is that something that can easily be fixed? Like say, just tighten the socket? I'm having a similar problem on my '11 Street Glide... brake and turn works but the running light doesn't..
