Recently noticed that I had a front turn signal light out so went to a HD shop, bought new bulbs and have replaced both sides. When done, I find that I have running lights but no turn signal on either side; but I have signals on both sides of the rear. I've replaced the fuse but still do not have turn signals. Anyone every experienced this????
Thanks for the reply; albeit I discovered what caused this issue: MY STUPIDITY...
I've been wrenching (recreationally), on vehicles all my life and wouldn't have believed that you could install a light bulb "backwards...." I deserve the DUFOSS AWARD. After posting my request for help (last night), I decided to go work on the lights once more. I fiddled with the (new) bulbs and when I pushed one further up in the socket I noticed that the directional seemed to work. Just out of curiosity, I took one out, turned it around and reinserted it and....it started blinking!! Go figure. If this discovery helps only one other person, I won't feel so f....g stupid.
