Quick question. I have a line on some less than 500 miles Woods 555's for $240 shipped. The seller will send pix; question is, would everyone here buy a used cam, again only 500 miles on it? Problems/what to be aware of/ feedback appreciated. For background, I have 2011 RKC 103 with Fuel Moto header and mufflers and air cleaner already. Thanks.
Plenty of guys buy lightly used SE255's off ebay and here...etc....all the time. I dont see any problem with it if the guys on the up and up. Make sure you see good pics of the actual cams so you can see any problems from maybe somebody fing them up on an install...etc..
Some guys play musical cams trying to find that one perfect grind. I don't have a problem buying used cams, and have done so in the past. I'm not sure I'd be buying a set that's been in several different bikes, but a low mile take-out that's only been in one bike isn't a problem at all.
For the same 240 bucks, you can get a brand new set of SE cams from the online discounters.
You could also buy a set of new Andrews 54 cams for the same money if you shop around, and they perform about the same as the TW555.
