Default New Hogtunes system

Alright, so after a lot of research and searching for the best deal, I finally pulled the trigger on upgrading the stock stereo speakers.

I tried finding side-by-side comparisons from all sorts of makes (J&M, Hogtunes, yada yada) but the fact of the matter is that people aren't doing what I wanted to do. Some do just the 2 speakers, some do only the tweeter pod, etc. etc. Some are giving bad reviews from only doing a speaker upgrade - well, duh, more powerful speakers aren't gonna do a damn thing when the radio unit isn't generating enough power for them.

Anyways,

I decided to install the Hogtunes 2 channel amp and speaker kit AND the Hogtunes tweeter pod. I gotta say, probably the easiest damn thing I have ever done in my life. For me personally, it took a little longer because, at the same time, I chose to modify a few things so that I could still have my tomtom GPS connected the way it use to be. Oh, and I also modified and installed the T-Bag 3 pouch windshield bag.

Here is a before photo -

Now, here are some photos along the way.

Looks great! I've been looking into something similar (except the bags) so this gives me a good idea of what it will end up looking like.

Belfast, I definitely recommend it. My advice is if you do this type of setup, go with an amp. I can turn these up to max volume and zero distortion.

Where did you get the HD Emblem for the T-Bag pouch? It covers their logo nicely and looks very nice.

I found it on Ebay. Here is the link:

It's a perfect fit. A tad bit smaller and you would be able to see some of the T-Bags symbol.

I really like the idea of the GPS in the pouch (out of site, out of mind) but, how do you keep the flap open while riding?

haha, that's a good question. Luckily, I'm not one that really needs to keep an eye on the GPS always, so if the pouch lays down some, no big deal. Around town, it stays open without any issues - highway, it does close some. I have thought about rigging some kind of collapsible bar on it. I don't know - gotta figure something out to keep it open on the highway.
