Engine Light ????

Left for work on morning and engine lite came on. Motor was hesitant when first gave it throttle but it cleared up. About 3 blocks into trip light went off and all was fine. Left work that evening and all was fine till I stopped for gas. When started up after filling up engine light came back on .Made it back home with with motor hesitating ( just at first throttle again) and light going on and off. Next morning Light came back on and this time wouldn't go off. This is a 98 FLHTC/I
Any Ideas

Pull the codes. Could be crank sensor or cam sensor. Could be some other minor things as well. Start though by pulling the codes to give you direction.
