Thumbs up Man Those Latches Are Sharp . . .

Hey davessorks

Thanks for the picture. They sure look sharp. However, before I go for GOD knows how much $ $ $ they cost I just might try the nuts and bolts trick at True Hardware or Home Of The Deep.

I want to thank you for you input. And if the nuts and bolts trick don't work I'll buy those nice latches.

Question be 4 I go.

P.S. Sorry if I offended anyone about the size and color of my postings.

That's just me

It's a very popular upgrade that many of us have done. The hinges attach with screws so you won't need to re-rivet.

I need ALL rivets for the latches/locks on saddle bags and tour pak. Had my '85 FLHT custom painted and boy does it look sharp. All I have to do now (with guys like you helping this ol' man) is to get all those locks/latches attached

You say small bolts/nuts . . . hummm !
Do you think small HEX BOLT in the front &
lock nut on the inside of the tour pak & saddle bag lids would be better. This way I can HOLD-BACK when tightening the hex bolts.
YES/NO

Question my good man;
What does those custom hinges look like ?
Can you send some pics please.

Man, I don't know how this issue will ever come to completion. This 70yr.ol' fart misses riding his Harley.

I wait till I hear from you or the other GREAT GUYS ON THIS FORUM

hinges are shown on here , the bolts if no one else answered I would go with a stainless phillips button head with a lock nut , have heard to stay away from lock tight on the fiberglass stuff
