Consider this.. Harley equips Police bikes with Road Kings. They know their officers are sometimes on their bikes 8 hours a day. What handlebars do they put on the Road Kings they issue? Heritage bars.. They come standard. They know that ergonomically, these are what fits best. Your answer is Heritage bars.

Went from Heritage to a RKC and had bad lower back pain from reaching. I went to the Heritage bars and vola, it was gone. Also, if you do the Heritage bars, you do not need to change cables and they are equipped to accept the throttle sensor.

That's right just $69 dollars for the bars and 2 hours @ $50 per hour. Total $169. Made me very happy

Heritage bars were the answer for my shoulder pain too,,,,however.......those bars look a little wierd on a RKC..so I went with the Wild1 515's.they are 10" mini apes you will love these even more, and you do not have to buy longer cabless

I went with the Wild one's 515's also, love them!
No need to change cables either
cheap way to get new bars, $200+ about $5 worth of wires.

I test drove the 2011 RKC with the stock bars was the first change I made b4 delivery on my 2011 RKC had it for 4 weeks and 3800 miles the Heritage bars and Willey G grips made a huge difference.Congrats on the new ride!

I had an 09 Road King Classic and put the Reduced Reach bars on it. I would put the Heritage bars on it or the KlockWerks Ergo bars if I had to do it again. The grips on the Reduced Reach bars were too much like a wheelbarrow for me.

Are the stock bars the same for the 2011 RKC's that they were in 09? I think they are putting a different seat on them now so that might change which bars would work best. BTW, I am 6 ft tall.

I was miserable for 1 year until I changed over to Heritage bars. Pain vanished! I wish this would of been my first modification of many.

If you run the wires internally the twist grip sensor kit will help with the install (it gets rid of the little green connector in the handlebars), but is not required. If I were to install my apes again I'd probably spring for it.
