Reading about a lot of folks taking long multi state trips. Hope you folks have a way of getting on the net. I'm in NYC if anyone gets stuck on the road near by and needs tools or a part(on your dime of course). Job is pretty easy and most days I can clock out. be safe and hope you do not break down. But lets face it, these touring bikes lately have been having crazy issues with off the wall tricks to identify and fix problems. especially the 07 and later models.

Likewise for anyone riding up in the Seattle area this summer...
I'm retired with a shop available for anyone touring in N.E. Ohio and has a bike problem. I would like to offer a suggestion to the forum.
What do you guys think of creating a list of forum members willing to help others while out on the road? Of course many questions come to mind but, the basic concept. Maybe the moderators can chime in on this?
I'm in Central Illinois between Bloomington, Lasalle-Peru and Peoria. Have trailer, tools etc. I am willing to help out any fellow rider any way I can.
Warning, my shop isn't air conditioned, there is no refrigerator but I usually have a few cold beers in the house. The shop also isn't usually neat or clean (OK, it never is).
And I'll probably find something to yank your chain about.
Count me in Dave, I live in Eastern Tennessee not too far from the Dragon. Maybe even give our Cell Phone numbers. I'm sure alot of riders don't carry the net with them. I'm one of the lucky ones. Retired, big air conditioned shop. It was my wifes Antique shop before she retired. I've got most tools and two jacks. Be more than glad to help!!!
This has been talked about here and other lists before....... It is a great Idea, but does have a few problems that must be talked about....... there are a few low life's out there that MAY hurt good people wanting to lend a hand. Others have talked about being sued for trying to help, other found tools, etc missing after the good deed. Please don't come after me for giving a warning..... just trying to help.
As for me, I ride the east coast between NY and Florida. I have a personal list of contacts made up of family and friends and carry Roadside America.
I would like to see any members that work for dealerships or shops, chime in and offer help or discounts but bringing someone to my home and family that I don't know could lead to problems. I hate writing this as riders we should all get along.... but face it... we do have a few problem children out there.
