Ok guys I've gotten the back into looking at road glides again and what needs 2 be done first when I get one. Any comments on the Harley tall boy seat?
I'm only 6'2" and the Tall Boy seat was a must for me on the RKC. It moves the rider back a full 2 inches. (My height is in my legs, not my torso.) I had a Sundowner on my Sportster and the Tall Boy is as comfortable as the Sundowner was for both me and my wife. Although the passenger space is cut down correspondingly, my wife is petite--5'2 and a buck ten--so it's not an issue for her. If you plan on riding 2 up and your passenger is larger, that could be an issue.
Before I bought the Road King I had the dealer put a TallBoy on a RoadKing on the floor to see the difference it made. It was the difference between buying the bike or not for me. I suggest going to a dealer and having them put a TallBoy on a Road Glide and see what you think.
I am 6'9 with a 2008 RG

Extended front shifter.
Mirror extenders till you get the apes.
Boards out and forward.
Got to do an Engine upgrade for more power to carry those sleds at the end of your legs...I am a 9, so both of my feet equals your one...YOU are the man, LOL. Luv my Roadie, not that crunched up feeling
