Pro: up and down for guys like me( short)
No questions ask warranty. I had the L7's repaired at no cost to me twice.
Better ride than stock (frimer).
All the top builders use them.
Folks think it's cool to pull up and air down.
Good re-sale. (I sold mine after I got the FBI drop seat kit) and they will honor the warranty.
Con:
They do break.
There are better options in terms of ride and performance (spring shocks)
Big $$$$

Thats more of the info I was looking for. When you said repaired what went wrong with the system? And you say better options, what brands???
The first time the internals went south. They rebuilt them using an improved version. The second time, the rubber part split and leaked air (I think they where not installed correctly). Both times they where repaired no questions asked and returned to me within 10 days.
As others have stated the Air shock technology has it's limits. Progressive, Ricor, Ohlins, and others with spring technology allows for tuning for a specific riders weight, riding style, definition of comfort and performance.
Seem like folks choose air ride shocks for two reasons:
a) the need to lower the bike to back it up or stand flat footed.
b) the cool factor on customs.

Just my opinion.......
Thank you for the information. I will continue to do my research to determine the better deal to go with.
