Default which Shockproof for tranny?

Changing fluids first time. Hunting down redline shockproof and need to know what kind for transmission. Heavy or lightweight gear oil?

Redline VTwin tranny oil and Shockproof Heavy are the same, and believe it or not are the same price--or were the last time I looked.

A Redline Rep came on the forum a while back to explain they are both the same. Buy the Redline V-twin Transmission oil. I buy mine from racerpartswholesale last I bought was 12.95 a quart .

Yes, but doesn't VTwin tranny oil and Shockproof Heavy have a strong smell? This is the only reason I haven't tried them yet.

Yesterday, I just put in 1 QT of Redline Vtwin, 6 cylinder Shockproof. Did my 10K service, or at least the fluid part of it. I will do the rest this weekend.

Absolutely Beary, I have to open up the garage doors and turn on my floor fan when I change the Tranny oil....smell's like nothing I've ever smelled before. Glad I only have to change it every 20K.
