Ok, puttin 18" apes on an 01 RK. I searched the forum for suggestions on where to get cables and came up with several suggestions with frustrating results. Hill Country Cycles won't return my calls. 3 calls, 3 messages, in 3 days and nothing. Phat Performance seems like talking to someone that never heard of putting apes on a bike. The guy is completely baffled on what cables to fit with 18" apes. LaChoppers was mentioned alot but $370 is too much. I just want some plain black vinyl cables. Does anyone have anymore suggestions.? It can't be this difficult to find cables and lines. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

I didn't go with black vinyl. I ordered Magnum Sterling Chromite from Dr. Vtwin. Good deal, and good service. If you search the forum for your bars and bike you should find the cable lengths. I did 12" monkey bars, my bike has a fairing and I went with +8 on the clutch and +6 on the brake.
