Hi All New to this forum and new to Harley just brought a 2005 elec. glide classic and have a few questions . took to local harley shop to check over and the suggestion was to have a oil temp gauge added to replace amb. air gauge in dash add air cleaner with better flow and add a chip???? tuneup??? and bleed front brakes too the tune of $2000.00 now about the bike
It has Vance and Hines pipes pops a little has 27000 mi out side of that it run great I'm not a racer could stop a little better so will have front brakes bled and probably rear tire replaced
Hello and welcome to the World of Harley i have having a brain fart this morning is your bike fuel injected? pretty sure it is so if so i would reccomend when you do your air cleaner to do a thundermax with auto tune yes it is a bit pricey (about 1,000)but you get what you pay for. i use to be one of the power commander guys and did not like it at all so i have went to the thundermax and love it throttle responsce is great tuneability is great and it also has a feature to reduce if not elimanate all of the decel pops the bike runs cooler and you can plug into your computer and see everything the bike has done since installed what rpm range you spend most of your riding at how many starts etc it is really a great system if you do not mind a little drive depending what part of va you live in there is a guy in owins maryland that does all my work and he is the best and really has my bike running top notch. I myself want to get the oil temp guage installed but i just havent had the time and have been doing other things first to the bike. i think my next add on will be the Legend air ride Good luck hope this helps and Safe riding
