Left Passenger Peg

I went out early this morning with the intent of putting on the new passenger floorboards I put together last night. Right side went fine, but the left is giving me some trouble. The only way I can see to get it off is taking off the muffler and pipe that runs up the side. The bolt is tucked up next to the pipe. When I put the allen wrench on its either sitting on the primary cover, or on the pipe. No leverage and not enough room to even break it loose.

If I had a 5/16 allen socket that connected to a 1/4 or 3/8 ratchet, I think it would work fine. Do they make "allen sockets"?

Anyone have a trick for getting the bolt up in there out without removing the Bassani exhaust?

Yes they do and thats what I had to do. Just go on down to advance auto or autozone and buy one for a few bucks. Don't try using a normal allen wrench, you just end up ruining some chrome..

Yes they do make the tool, just be careful, them bolts are friggen tight, I had to replace mine cause it just barely came off before it stripped out.

The bolts have loctite on the threads and are tight.

They do make ball allen for your socket wrench too.

Run on down to Sears and get you a set of hex sockets. Then, use one with a long extension to take the bolt out.
