Fix it am move on.

All of the chicken little sky falling in advise that you are getting only leads to the dealer making out on the trading, resale of old bike and sale of new bike to you. They will make out all three ways. The bike will be brand new when you get it back.

Take or leave it If my wife was expecting I would not have here on my bike, but that is me.

Take care

I would fix it and keep it. I know the emotions involved when you know it's been taken apart to the frame, but think of it this way. It was once taken to the frame before, just as custom bikes are pieced together as well. There are only so many moving parts to a bike.

I think if the dealership is fixing the bike it should be fine. But if it were me I would take advantage of the situation and go for a Brand New Bike. Might need to work them on the price a little, but sounds like you'll be much happier with a new one. I know I'd be. Good luck on what ever you decide

Here's the best time to trade it in... do it before repairs are completed. Take the insurance check and your wrecked bike to the General Manager of the dealer and make a deal on a new one. The dealer can make a ton of money on rebuilding a bike like yours in thier own shop using and you can get a nice new bike. Trust me did it. My bike was worth more wrecked than it was before the crash. At least try, but you have to deal with the General manager. The sales manager can not make the deal because he only looks at the sales profit off the new bike, not what they will make on the back side during the repair of your wrecked trade-in. Not to mention the parts as well, and the resale of your repaired trade-in after they get done putting back on take-offs from other bikes.
