Default Troubleshooting help request....

Yesterday on the way home from work, my 2003 FLTRI had the following issues: one quick "hiccup" while cruising at 60 mph, the check engine light came on and extinguished - did not come back on. Shortly thereafter, any time I took the throttle to idle, the motor stalled. I was able to make it home, keeping the throttle cracked above idle when stopping at stopsigns, etc. Once home, I shut it down, waited a few minutes, restarted and everything was back to normal. Today, rode to work, running perfectly. The only thing out of the ordinary was that the bike was out in a mild rain shower during the day yesterday.

I don't know about codes being stored on the bikes, but on the International tow trucks that we run, the codes are stored in the ecm for a certain number of starts from the starter. Maybe the dealer could hook it to the computer to tell what was/is going on??

Pull the code that the CEL signaled and see what failed.
