Thanks for posting. I agree with your opinion about how keeping your bike stock keeps things simple. how many batteries have you gone thru? ever have the crank bang grind issue? You have a stock 88 EVO? I am blessed with the 96" twin cam experiment.

This is only the second battery I have used in the bike. The original battery expired after two years and I replaced the stock battery with the current battery. Every once in a while it will make a loud grindidng noise like the starter is hitting the fly wheel funny. Other than that things are good.
I am thinking about replacing the whhel bearing in the next little bit. I am not having any isues that I am aware of but I figure 111,000 miles might have put some wear on them. I would rather be safe than sorry! Can someone give me any opinions on the wheel bearings?
My 2005 Ultra has now turned over 111,000 miles .......... I just got back from riding 5,000 miles in 10 days and i would ride this bike anywhere right now as it runs perfect.
