And all this time running that crap HD oil... Could all these "experts" be wrong??? Nah, your motor is probably getting ready to grenade.

Congrats on racking up those miles. Hope mine fares as well as yours has. I have no reason to doubt that it will at this point.

I posted a picture of my blue and silver Ultra. The bike with 111,000 miles still looks brand new when cleaned up!

Thanks for posting. I agree with your opinion about how keeping your bike stock keeps things simple. how many batteries have you gone thru? ever have the crank bang grind issue? You have a stock 88 EVO? I am blessed with the 96" twin cam experiment.

2005 88" is a twin cam too, not an Evo. FWIW...

This is only the second battery I have used in the bike. The original battery expired after two years and I replaced the stock battery with the current battery. Every once in a while it will make a loud grindidng noise like the starter is hitting the fly wheel funny. Other than that things are good.

I am thinking about replacing the whhel bearing in the next little bit. I am not having any isues that I am aware of but I figure 111,000 miles might have put some wear on them. I would rather be safe than sorry! Can someone give me any opinions on the wheel bearings?

Lost a rod bearing at a 100,000.. An opportunity to upgrade to 103... Wish I could ride all year long. I envy your state.
