Nah, no problem here. When mine was stock it was louder than a wing. But that ain't sayin' much.
In no way was I singling you out. I was talking about the attitude of the posts in general. Yeah. I am exaggerating. But. That was the quietest (I googled it to get the spelling right) HD I have ever heard.
HD is just trying to help out the dealers knowing full well no self-respecting true biker would ever live with less than 106 dbs on their ride. Just guarantees that every new bike sold will have a new set of pipes installed before it's delivered.
I found my stock 2010 RKC too loud. The right side muffler is a new design - probably to do with the cat in the head pipes that started that year. Somehow the combination of the tone of the bike and the helmet I was wearing gave me permanent tinnitus. Thankfully it's not awful but the left ear rings whenever it's quiet.
I think I now have the quietest touring Harley in Arkansas. I put on 2009 mufflers and at moderate throttle the bike is as quiet as a BMW. In fact the whole bike kind of reminds me of an American BMW - quiet, comfortable, competent. I like it that way.
