I've had nothing but problems with this bike ever sence I've had it. Now another. The ABS has'nt worked sence I've had the bike.(2010 EGC with 19000 miles) I've had in the shop a dozen or more time with no fix, so I gave up on the ABS. Then, two different oil leaks, one from the primary and one from the tranny. Had to have the compensator changed.
And now the latest is it keeps popping acc. fusses, and I have no brake or turn signals when it pops. Can't make it blow when in the garage, just on the road. I was in LA all weekend and spent 6 hr at Cajun Harley while they looked for the problem. They thought they found it and sent me on my way. Poped about 5 miles town and road 300 miles home without brake or turn sigs.
I think its time to give up on this one and get a RG. Let some other poor soul deal with it and let the dealer ship fix it on there nickel.
When my Acc fuse (brake and Signals) went out, there was a short behind the headlight nacelle. Whenever I turned the wheel or went over rough road, it would blow. Check your wiring around the steering head. Sometimes it wears through.
About the ABS. I'd make Harley replace the whole system.
Is it the bike in the pic? If so you may have caused you own problems by adding bars and GPS or whatever else. I had to take my wiring apart cause a started button issue i had after I installed my apes.
I had been bragging that my '09 UC has had a lot less issue since the warranty expired but my statement was very premature. Now the radio audio keeps cutting off intermittently and the cruise control doesn't work anymore. The cruise light comes on when turning it on but the cruise will not engage with the handlebar switch.
u may want to check your switch housings u can pinch a wire that will cause that problem. alot including myself put apes on and pinched the wires during the install.
